It all depends whether your zip tap already has a limescale filter installed (not to be confused with the standard filter)

My Hydrotap doesn't currently have a filter

If your unit has never had a limescale filter installed you will need to purchase a filter kit as opposed to a single filter. The kits all come with a filter but also include the various fittings needed to install a filter for the first time. Once done all future replacements won't require a replacement kit, just the filter.

The choice of kit is purely dependant on usage, ranging from 1,700 to 16,500 litres, That's the amount of water that can pass through it before it needs replacing. Zip also recommends that all filters are changed at least once every 12 months, so take this into account when making your selection. It's best to choose based on the amount of water you will use within 6-12 months.
